Paris, Vascosan, 1567. 6 volumes in-8, bound in full burgundy morocco, boards decorated with a triple gilt fillet, highly ornate smooth spines, title and appendix pieces, fillet on the edges, interior roulette, gilt edges - some minor spotting - Continuous folios, except for the life of Hannibal - small wormhole on the second spine of T I and III and on the spine of T III, small snag on the tail spine of T III, tiny small wormhole on the tail of the second spine of T V, some overall spotting, upper margins sometimes short - [20 ff. including title], 545 pp; [1f. title], 546-1170; [1f. title], 1171-1784; [1 f. title], 1785-2474; [1 f. title], 2475-3263; [1 f. title], 3264-3932, 150 pp. (life of Hannibal). Edition dedicated to King Henri II. The Decade sometimes found with this edition is not present. Also included: Les Oeuvres morales et meslees de Plutarque, translatées de Grec en François, reveuës corrigees en ceste seconde édition en plusieurs passages par le Translateur. Dont le premier volume de ce premier tome contient XXIII traittez, comme verrez au premier fueillet apres l'Epistre.
