Lemaitre, Jules. - Autograph manuscript of 15 sheets recomposed from pieces of paper laminated in a strong paper notebook. Titled: La semaine dramatique. A la foire de Neuilly - Rutebeuf par M. Léon Clédat (Hachette, collection des grands écrivains français). Signed on last leaf. Work in-4, bradel cardboard, title page on spine (black). Jules Lemaitre (1853-1914) was a writer who made his name as a drama critic for the Journal des Débats. His reviews were collected in Les Contemporains (7 series, 1886-1899) and Impressions de théâtre (10 series, 1888-1898). This is one of his texts. Manuscript presented to "Lil" "with the affectionate memories of Seymour and Delphine". A pencil note reads "ex dono de Seymour de Ricci". Seymour Montefiore Robert Rosso de Ricci known as Seymour de Ricci (1881-1942) was a British-born French archaeologist, bibliographer and art historian, made a French citizen in 1901. His second wife was Delphine Feher Lévy.
