In folio, bound in full contemporary calf but in the style of a Renaissance binding mounted on wooden boards. Boards embossed with a "cold" roulette motif, decorating the inside of two of the four triple filleted frames, ribbed spine, title-piece, corners reinforced on the edges with a thin strip of nailed brass, brass clasps - tear in the first box of the spine (reattached) - [6 ff.], 590 pp. (the last n.ch.), 12 pp. (propositions de Pierre de Osma), [28 ff. index]. Allegorical title vignette, engraved by Peeter Clouwet (1629-1668) after Abraham Diepenbeke [Dipenbeck]. Guillaume Herincx (1621-1678) was a Franciscan theologian active in the southern Netherlands, who ended his life as Bishop of Ypres. He published the first edition of his 4-part theological course in 1660, this being the fourth part of the third edition.
