Pedro Meylan (1890-1954) Portrait of a young boy Bronze with brown patina Signed and dated "Pedro Meylan 1930" on the right shoulder Bears the founder's stamp "CIRE PERDUE A.A. HEBRARD". H. 38 cm Some wear to the patina Born in Buenos-Aires, Pedro Meylan trained at the Ecole des Arts Industriels in Geneva from 1906, before entering the Beaux-Arts in Munich. In 1917, he became a practitioner of the Geneva sculptor Ferdinand Hodler. But by 1925, Pedro Meylan had turned away from his classical training and adopted a highly realistic style, particularly in his portraits, to which he devoted himself.
