Original fingerprints. 27.3 x 34.5 cm Our drawing is a study for the corten steel sculpture in the shape of an octagonal prism, 2 m high and 2.40 m in diameter, installed in the town square of Chagny (Saône-et-Loire), opposite the church of Saint-Martin. Designed specifically for Chagny and inaugurated in 1991, it was commissioned by the French Ministry of Culture as a tribute to Saint Eloi, patron saint of blacksmiths.
