Jacques GAUTIER Barrette brooch in hammered metal, adorned with a rectangular blue glass cabochon. French work, signed. Traces of use, wear to patina. L. 11.30 cm Artist, craftsman and jewelry designer, Jacques Gautier (1924-2004) was a student of François Hugo in the 1950s. He designed for haute couture, including Dior. In 1958, he opened his own workshop, where he experimented with different techniques. In 1999, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris devoted a retrospective exhibition to him entitled "Bijoux de Lumières".
