Jacques Loutchansky (1876-1978) Study of a female nude Black patina bronze Signed "J. Loutchansky". Stamped "CIRE PERDUE C. VALSUANI H. 46 cm, on a black marble base H. 4 cm Of Ukrainian origin, Jacob dit Jacques Loutchansky trained in sculpture at the Odessa School of Fine Arts before joining Antonin Mercier's studio at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1903. He takes part in Parisian artistic life and exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants, the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Tuileries. In 1949, the artist moved to Israel and took part in numerous international exhibitions.
