ALBERT, Les jeux de l'amour, circa 1873 FOLDED EVENTAIL, the black silk leaf painted in white and blue monochrome with a gallant scene in the taste of the 18th century. In the shade of a grove, a gallant on his knees declares his love for a young woman. His mischievous gaze turns to a second young man hidden behind a pedestal. Two young women spy on them, hidden behind shrubs. Signed and dated lower right, Albert 1873. Green silk reverse painted with a blue-and-white LJ figure under a count's crown. Black wood frame pierced with a stylized foliage motif, repeated. Wear to edges and folds, accidents. Total height 37 cm Leaf height 22.5 cm
