Jean LETOURNEUR (1954) Clouds V 2010 Charcoal on glass canvas Signed and dated (lower right) : LETOURNEUR 2010 Monogrammed (on the other 3 corners) 75 x 100 cm Nuages invites us to meditate on the beauty of fluid movements above our heads (see cat. no. 188). The artist's economy of means is remarkable: simple charcoal on glass canvas. Two works from the Galaxies and Nuages series are reproduced in writings by Jean Letour- neur (2018 LETOURNEUR, p. 96 and 2020 LETOURNEUR, fig.14a and b, p. 9). Exhibition: 2012, Meudon, center d'art et de culture: La quête de l'unité.
