This bronze is the only cast of L'Esquisse pour le Pont made during the artist's lifetime. The woman in the Esquisse is reinterpreted in the small group Deux figures féminines en rond (cat. no. 125). Le Pont was executed by René Letourneur in direct carving from Paros marble.
