René LETOURNEUR (1898-1990) Offering II 1981 Bronze with black patina shaded with green, n°1/8 Lost-wax casting Coubertin 2004 Copyright, numbering, signature and founder's stamp (rear right): © 1/8 LETOURNEUR 44 x 33 x 25.2 cm Height of bronze base: 3 cm René Letourneur sculpts Offrande II from a block of Carrara marble. This marble was molded into bronze. The sculptor had created a first Offrande a few years earlier (see Offrande I, cat. no. 30). The bronze proof presented here featured in the 2009 exhibition L'Atelier du sculpteur René Letourneur at the Musée d'Île-de-France in Sceaux.
