René LETOURNEUR (1898-1990) Matsyendra Model of 1957 Studio plaster 37 x 46 x 19 cm René Letourneur took his inspiration for this work from a yoga posture, and named it after the famous yogi Matsyendra. The studio plaster is the result of a cast taken by the artist from his Serravezza marble, executed in direct carving. Bibliography : 2009 EXHIBITION, p. 60, no. 39, repr. (Serravezza marble).
