René LETOURNEUR (1898-1990) Standing nude holding hair 1957 Black patina bronze, unnumbered Attilio Valsuani period cast (stamp on back of right foot) Monogrammed (on the back terrace): RL 20 x 7.5 x 5.5 cm Black Belgian marble base: 2 x 9 x 7.5 cm This statuette, which is not numbered, corresponds to the second proof in the edition of eight. René Letourneur's figure is well poised and delicately charming as she gestures towards her hair. It is reminiscent of Sensualité (cat. no. 45).
