René LETOURNEUR (1898-1990) Woman-child 1936 Shaded green patina bronze proof, n°2/8 Lost-wax casting Coubertin 2010 Monogram, numbering and founder's stamp (on left side) 6 x 10.5 x 4 cm This small bronze is the result of a modelled sketch, a preparatory study for a large marble executed in direct carving. When this marble was presented in 1979 at the Samuel Havadtoy Gallery in New York, it was acquired by John Lennon. It is now in the collection of Yoko Ono.
