René LETOURNEUR (1898-1990) Man's head 1933 Original plaster 49 x 22 x 22 cm Bourdelle's work is one of the major references guiding René Letourneur's work, so it's not surprising that his Tête d'homme is conceived as a tribute to Bourdelle's archer Herakles. The large base of Tête d'homme is characteristic of the 1920s-1930s.
