He pursued a flourishing career in post-war Paris. He rubbed shoulders with artists such as Chabaud, Vlaminck, Dunoyer de Segonzac and Planson. A landscape painter, Dejean participated regularly in the Salon de la Jeune Peinture between 1955 and 1958, and exhibited for the Prix Antral and the Prix de l'Île-de-France. A member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, Dejean presented his work in Vienna in 1958, and in Paris between 1959 and 1971. His work, characterized by landscapes of Brittany, Provence, the Cévennes, Corrèze and Île-de-France, uses a variety of techniques including oil, watercolor and ink wash.
