Charles Malfray (1887-1940) Verdun, 1916 Watercolor and colored pencil on paper Localized and dated lower right "Verdun June 25, 1916". 10.5 x 26.5 cm This small drawing once again confirms Malfray's ability to bear witness to the First World War, as he did with his manifesto sculpture Le Silence.
