Raoul Lamourdedieu (1877-1953) Female nude Bronze with dark brown patina Signed "Raoul Lamourdedieu" on the terrace Bears the founder's mark "Alexis Rudier/ Fondeur Paris". H. 93 cm In 1897, Raoul Lamourdedieu entered Alexandre Falguière's studio at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. The Bordeaux sculptor and medalist's work was initially influenced by the work of Auguste Rodin. Note here the attitude taken from L'Homme qui marche sur colonne by the Maître de Meudon.
