Second edition, printed in December 1947, a few months after the original. Limited edition of 1850 copies, this one no. 1112. Also by the same author: 1/ - Notre-Dame-des-Fleurs. Paris, L'Arbalète, 1948. In-16 "Jésus", paperback in filled cover, titled on spine - cover mounted upside down - title and running titles in red - 411 pp. 1 f. justification]. Limited edition reserved for subscribers on pur fil Lana watermarked "L'Arbalète". Second edition. Discovered by Cocteau and then Sartre, Genet is the "pariah" of post-war French literature. His first novel, "Notre-Dame-des-Fleurs", written in Fresnes prison in 1942, was first published in December 1943 by Paul Morihien, Jean Cocteau's secretary. 2/ - Genet, Jean. - Poèmes.
