The Chevalier states, among other things, that the masses formerly celebrated by the Franciscans in return for the enjoyment of several stores are no longer celebrated because the stores are often vacant and because the rates for masses have increased. He also states that he has not forwarded the papers mentioned in the letter because "the building is a nasty boat where there is no great security" and that he will have these documents delivered to him "by a better and more assured passage and the first one that presents itself". 4/ - Requeste responcive a la demande incidente faite le sieur de Senas par sa requeste du 4 aoûst 1689 pour Madame de Lincel, contre le dit sieur marquis de Sénas. August 6, 1689. 1 quire of 5 leaves, folded in two. In this petition addressed to the Parlement de Provence, Marguerite de Suffren, widow of Marc Antoine de Crose, seigneur de Lincel, intends to recover from Charles de Jarente, marquis de Sénas, a sum of 4,000 livres owed to her since 1652. The petition sets out all the legal twists and turns in the case over a period of almost 40 years.
