[Lyonnais] Marriage contract between Florys de Quincieu and Blandine Moindon, executed before Claude Bullioud notary in Greysieu la Varenne on November 20, 1570. 1 piece of parchment folded in eight, 68 x 64.5 cm, in fine chancery handwriting. - Yellowing and folds from use. - Interesting document concerning the union of two people of modest means. The husband's father was a dry cleaner in Lyon, while the wife's father (deceased) was also a mason in Lyon. The parents each offered their child the sum of one hundred pounds, plus wine and wheat for the wedding expenses donated by the bridegroom's father. In addition, the future spouses make an inter vivos gift of all their property to the last survivor, and establish a sum of 50 livres for the wife in the event of the husband's death, and 25 livres for the husband in the event of the wife's death.
