Infantry officer's saber, model 1855. Chased brass hilt, blade signed: "Manufacture de Châtellerault, avril 1879 - Adjudant d'Infanterie, modèle 1845". (Saber model 1845 modified in 1855 by changing the leather scabbard to a regulation iron scabbard). Very good condition.
