Superior officer's or general's sword, chased and gilded brass guard, keyboard decorated with a Gorgon's head and foliage, above a silver shield, monogrammed: "B G", branch chased with oak leaves and laurels, quillon terminating in a ram's head, pommel in the form of a helmet, spindle with two mother-of-pearl plates; triangular-section blade, signed on the heel: "S K" (gold background remains); leather scabbard with two brass fittings; length 105.5 cm. (Leather probably shortened at the bottom, missing 6 cm). First Empire period. Good condition.
