Beautiful sword, probably from the Civil House of Emperor Napoleon III, chased and gilded brass keyboard guard, decorated with an eagle between two horns of plenty, crossed with two straight quillons terminated by busts of women, spindle with two fluted mother-of-pearl plates; blade with triangular cross-section, gilded and one-third blued; leather scabbard with two engraved and gilded brass fittings; length 89 cm. (Minor repair to leather). Second Empire period. Very good condition.
