Officer's saber known as "petit montmorency", brass openwork guard decorated with a cuirass topped by a helmet on a background of flags and surrounded by laurel branches, long-tailed cap terminating in a helmet, leather-covered, filigree spindle; plain, slightly arched blade with a hollow front and a lateral groove along the back, on one half; leather scabbard with two brass fittings, two rings of bélières and a chape button; length 90 cm. (Scabbard leather damaged at the end). Revolutionary period. Good condition.
