Large hunting knife, silver hilt with two quillons upwards, scrolled, one fitted with a chain, ebony handle adorned with engraved silver motifs; flat, slightly curved, counter-edged blade engraved, on one side, with a boar being coursed by two hounds and, on the other, with the signature: "MILLOT Marchand Fourbisseur Rue de Condé près le coin du Miroir à Dijon"; leather scabbard with three silver trimmings in suite with cross motif, with two rings and a cap button; length 77 cm. (Leather damaged on the cutting edge). Mid 18th century. Good condition.
