Large Indian pata sword, gauntlet-shaped wrought-iron hilt engraved with leaves, peacocks and flowers, inside cylindrical handle to hold it, mounted on the sides with two gilded flower rosettes, mobile flange to hold the arm at the back, the front forms a kind of scabbard for riveted blade attachment; straight blade with lenticular cross-section, relatively flat; overall length 107 cm (without scabbard). Possible restoration of the blade attachment. Late 18th century. Fairly good condition.
