Pair of senior officer's epaulets of the Republic of Argentina, covered in red velvet, bodies embroidered with foliage in gold passementerie bearing a gold and silver button with the arms, escutcheons embroidered with the great arms of the Republic of Argentina in colored thread embroidery and passementerie in high relief; large gold twists; red cloth linings; metal tab fastenings marked: "MARQUE DE FABRIQUE" and engraved with a crown above two branches.
Period, Argentina, second half of the 19th century, probably French subcontracting. Fairly good condition.
