Curious antique sabretache in black leather, red cloth-covered top, cut-out and engraved brass crowned eagle in the center (later mounting), First-Empire musician's braid around the edge, period. Presented with three white buffalo lines (later); an old collector's label reads: "Sabretache de trompette - Premier-Empire". (Inside pocket flap missing).
19th century, composite. Fairly good condition.
