German cuirassier's steel breastplate decorated with brass rivets; hinged brass scale straps; breastplate numbered inside: "597", backplate retains its unbleached canvas trim, leather belt broken on one side. (Two small accidents, one repaired at the edge of the neckline on one side). Late 19th, early 20th century. Fairly good condition.
