After training with Alexandre Falguière and at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva, Marcel Bouraine turned to the decorative arts. He exhibited with the group La Stèle, created by Arthur Goldscheider. He tackled a variety of themes, from ancient mythology to animal subjects, as well as clowns and pierrots, such as our bronze candlestick in the Art Deco style.
