Marcel Debut (1865-1933) Poor people Bronze with brown patina Signed and titled "Marcel Debut / Pauvres gens" upper left Bears the founder's stamp "EUG BLOT PARIS" on the right-hand side. H. 27 cm The work of Marcel Debut, son and pupil of sculptor Didier Debut, is in a neo-Gothic, academic and Orientalist vein. Many of his statuettes were exhibited at the Salon from 1883 onwards, and most were produced in bronze.
