Karl Frisendahl (1886-1948) Christ carrying his Cross Black patina bronze Signed "C Frisandal". Bears the founder's stamp "CIRE PERDUE C. VALSUANI H. 19.5 cm Born in Sweden, this pupil of Antoine Bourdelle settled and exhibited in Paris from 1907. He was a member of the Salon d'Automne. An eclectic artist, he sculpted religious and secular subjects, busts and animals, examples of which can be found in museums in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.
