Alfred Jean Halou (1875-1940) Portrait of a young boy Circa 1920 Bronze with brown patina shaded with red Signed "A. J. Halou" on the back of the left shoulder H. 35 cm Alfred Jean Halou studied sculpture with his father before moving to Paris. Alongside his training as a ceramist in Alexandre Bigot's workshop, he worked for sculptors including Alexandre Charpentier, Aimé-Jules Dalou and Auguste Rodin. He exhibited in the Paris Salons and was one of the founders of the Salon d'Automne.
