Beautiful chef's stool carved in a light wood, the base classically composed of a kneeling female figure carrying the seat of the stool at arm's length. The supple, powerful limbs are masterfully articulated. The particularly beautiful, rhythmic belly scarification marks bear witness to carving in the ancient Luba tradition.
