The elegant figure displays the classic Kwese statuary features: harmonious body, face with large, half-closed eyes, headdress forming a median crest. The sculpture is covered with blue paint of European origin, probably a testimony to its passage through the collection and studio of painter A. Van Ghent. Van Ghent.
