In addition to its extraordinary subject, our painting also features two facetious and surprising self-portraits by the artist, one on the back of the sheet, which stands out from the wall boards in the upper right, and the second on the figure of the Atlantean visible on the left of the pinned sheet. The signature, stamped on the wood of the stamp itself, is not to be outdone.
