IRAN, circa 1940 Pair of fine KACHAN KORK Kork quality silky lambswool velvet on cotton foundation. Density approx. 7500 knots per dm2. Good condition. Midnight-blue field decorated with polychrome scrolls, garlands of flowers and stylized foliage adorned with a brick-red central medallion. Stylized elongated diamond-shaped floral motif in polychrome. Four spandrels reminiscent of the central medallion. Triple borders, the main one in midnight blue, with semis of bulbs and multicolored stylized flower buds surrounded by lacy foliage. 200 x 132 cm
