One of 50 copies on vellum à la forme (no. 21). Beautiful, long E.A.S. to his friend Albert-Émile Sorel. A C.P. dated 1/05/1919 from Niort is enclosed.

Edition of 175 numbered copies, this one of 100 on Lafuma (no. 127).
7/ - Zola, E. - Le Docteur Pascal. Paris, Bibliothèque-Charpentier, 1893. In-12 bound in red half-chagrin, spine ribbed, author and title gilt, covers preserved (the first one lined and missing). First edition, complete with folding plate of the Rougon-Macquart family tree.

In 16, bound in full contemporary red long-grained morocco, boards decorated with a fine gilt floral frame, very ornate smooth spine, gilt edges, fillet on the edges, small inner lace - XXXV - 243pp. illustrated with 4 engraved h. t. figures, 3 by Moreau le jeune and 1 by J. Vernet. First separate edition, finely printed by P. Fr. Didot jeune. The text first appeared in 1788 at the end of the Nature studies. Minor brown spots.
