In-4 in sheets with colored illustrated cover, publisher's jacket and slipcase - 82 pp. and [3 ff.] In-t color illustrations by Maurice Varsavaux and printed calligraphic text by Michel Kieffer (both prisoners of war at oflag VI A, Soest, Westphalia). Edition of 1,000 copies, this one of the top 50 on vellum, accompanied by 5 original black pen-and-ink drawings on mounted tracing paper and a complete suite of the work in black (no. 43). 2/ - Balzac, Honoré de. - L'Héritier du diable. (1926). Small in-4 square paperback in illustrated paperback cover - 97 pp, [1 f. d'achevé]. Illustrated and calligraphed on every page by Quint. Edition of 600 copies, one of 500 on vellum pur fil (no. 209). 3/ - Rousseau, J-J. - Rêveries d'un promeneur solitaire (1925). In-8 publisher's full black leather binding, cold-stamped with geometric floral decoration, covers and spine preserved (Rel R. Kieffer) - 217 pp., [2 ff.]. Illustrations by Bernard Naudin.
