Wilson Bigaud (1954 -2010) Market Isorel panel Signed lower right 60 x 60 cm Bigaud Wilson, recognized as one of the great masters of Haitian art, was born in 1931. He began his artistic career at the age of fifteen under the guidance of Hector Hyppolite, an emblematic figure in Haitian art. His early works are characterized by golden light and warm colors. Bigaud, known for his wonderfully humorous creations, worked mainly in the tranquility of Petit Goâve. His works are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, as well as in prestigious art galleries in Haiti and around the world.
