Collection of 5 medical works: 1/ Sydenham. - Médecine pratique, avec des notes ; Ouvrage traduit en François, sur la dernière édition Angloise, par feu M. A.F. Jault. Nouvelle édition. A Avignon Chez la Ve Seguin, et à Paris, chez Pougens, An VII (1799). 2 volumes in-8, contemporary marbled basane, ornate smooth spines, fawn and black morocco titles and endpapers, corners and spines rubbed, freckles on flyleaves and endpapers - xlviij, 735 pp. (continuous pagination). Important work by the "Father of English Medicine". Sydenham (1624-1689) was one of the great figures of internal medicine of his time. He is notably credited with a precise description of gout (in the second volume). François Jault ( 1700 - 1757) , physician, translator and orientalist, was in the service of the Duc d'Orléans. 2/ Blancardi, Stefani.
