Irénée Rochard (1906-1984) Donkey Bronze with light-brown patina Signed "I Rochard" on the inside of the hind leg left H. 18 cm After academic training at the Beaux-Arts and Arts Décoratifs schools, Irénée Rochard became close to the animal sculptors of the interwar period, such as François Pompon and Édouard Sandoz, and collaborated with Italian sculptor Ugo Cipriani.
