Auguste Maillard (1864-1944) Portrait of a man Bronze with green patina Signed and dated on the left shoulder "Aug. Maillard / 1920". Bears the founder's mark "ALEXIS RUDIER/ Fondeur PARIS". H. 61 cm A student of Alexandre Falguière, Auguste Maillard exhibited at the Salon des artistes français from 1855. He was responsible for numerous commemorative monuments and busts of personalities.
