Numbered "6555" on the back of the terrace H. 32 cm Eugène Marioton, brother of sculptor Claudius Marioton, devoted his artistic career to sculpture and medal engraving. His debut at the 1882 Salon heralded an abundant output that continued for some fifty years. His work is characterized by its diversity of subjects (portraits, antique scenes, allegories, genre scenes).
