Alfred Dubucand (1828-1894) Standing hare Bronze with light brown patina Signed "DUBUCAND" on the terrace H. 9.6 cm, standing on a green marble base H. 1 cm Alfred Dubucand is said to have trained in animal sculpture with the renowned Antoine-Louis Barye. From 1867 to 1883, the artist presented numerous animal groups at the Salon des Artistes Français, as well as a number of Orientalist compositions.
