Large in-8, bound in porphyry and glazed raced calf, double gilt fillet surrounding a black fillet on the boards, spine decorated with gilt and cold boxes, gilt edges, same double gilt fillet surrounding a black fillet on the back covers, covers and spine preserved, lined case (Binding by Ch. Meunier) - [2 ff.], 232 pp, [4 ff.], 30 illustrations by Maurice Ray (15 full-page) engraved with etching by Louis Muller, framing and typographical ornaments by Maurice Ray engraved by Henri Jouffroy. Unique edition at 110 numbered copies on vellum (n° 60 nominative for Adrien Lachenal). Superb volume printed with great refinement, each part having its own floral frame. Beautiful copy in a perfect binding by Charles Meunier. From the library of Adrien Lachenal (1849-1918). This Genevan, great bibliophile was in 1896, president of the Helvetic Confederation (ex-libris). The receipt issued to him by the Société des Amis des Livres for the payment of this book is enclosed.
