Asmond ARLE (1919-1990) Beethoven Original terracotta bust. Signed A. ARLE on the left. Small chips. H. 25 cm Originally from Sweden, Asmund Arle trained at the Scanian Painting School and then at the Art Academy in Stockholm. A sculptor committed to the promotion of Swedish art, he was one of the founders of the Arilds group in 1948, which became the National Artists' Cooperation Organization (KSO) in 1960, and whose purpose was to develop collaboration between artists and to disseminate art to the public through art education.
