Signed and dated lower right. 57 x 47,5 cm Victor-Casimir Zier (1822-?), history painter and portraitist, originally from Warsaw, studied under Sébastien Norblin and Léon Cogniet. He made his debut in 1844. Paintings, Sainte-Suzanne chapel of the Saint-Roch church, Saint-Louis des Invalides, and the Immaculate Conception in Paris.
