KHAYYAM (Omar). Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam translated by Edward Fitzgerald. London: George Routledge Sons, ltd. New York: E. P. Dutton and Co. n.d. (ca. 1906?) In-12, [6] unnumbered ff. + LXXIV ff. with 12 photogravures after drawings by Gilbert James. Bound in full brown morocco, spine with five raised bands, gilt lettering on the spine, gilt lettering on the upper board, simple cold fleurons on the boards in the extension of the bands, simple gilt fillet on the edges, interior scroll, gilt head. The Rubaïyat of Omar Khayyâm is a collection of poems, written in Persian, attributed to the Persian writer and scholar Omar Khayyam (1048-1131). The translation of "rubaiyat" is "quatrains".
